ABOUT HORNBILL

  • Hornbill Festival is a 10 day revelry of Tribal Dance &  Culture held every year from Dec 01 to Dec 10. It was started in year 2000 for cross-tribal co-operation and camaredrie. Its falnked by thousands of  tourists and photographers from all over the world. The tribal attire and gear in bright colour are pleasure for shutter bugs.  It is flanked by High Commissioners and Ambassadors of various countires .  Many National and International Music Bands show case their enthralling perforamnce. The sheer Grandeur and revelry of the festival rivals with Tomatino  Festival of Spain. Due to limited availabilty of accomodation it is recommended to do bookings atleast 6 months in advance.

Day 1Arrival in Dimapur, Welcome

Arrive at Dimapur Airport and feel the excitement as our representative warmly greets you. Begin your journey to Kohima, the vibrant capital of Nagaland, soaking in the scenic beauty along the way. Check-in at your hotel and get ready to immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere. Overnight stay in Kohima.


Day 2: Dive into the Festivities at Kisama Village

Kick-start your day with a hearty breakfast, gearing up for an unforgettable experience at the heart of the Hornbill Festival in Kisama Village. Delight in the mesmerizing performances, colorful dances, and soul-stirring music of the indigenous tribes. Indulge in the flavors of local cuisine, adding a zing to your cultural exploration. Return to your hotel for a rejuvenating night's rest, filled with the echoes of the day's celebrations.

Day 3: Exploring Khonoma: Where Tradition Meets Tranquility

After a delicious breakfast, venture into the enchanting Khonoma Village, a haven of tranquility known for its terraced fields and rich biodiversity. Engage with the hospitable locals, discovering the ancient traditions and cultural heritage woven into the fabric of their daily lives. As the evening sets in, unwind at your leisure, reflecting on the day's enriching experiences.

Day 4:Journey to Kaziranga: Nature's Canvas Unfolds

Bid farewell to Kohima with fond memories as you embark on a scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO heritage asset. En route, revel in the lush landscapes and diverse flora and fauna that paint the canvas of Northeast India. especially Tea Gradens of Assam. Enjoy complimentary tea tasting at Kaziranga. Upon arrival, settle into luxury Resort, ready to embrace the wilderness of Kaziranga.

Day 5 & 6 : Kaziranga National Park - Safari Adventures and Orchid Delights

Awaken to the call of the wild and set out on an exhilarating elephant safari through the verdant expanses of Kaziranga National Park, a sanctuary for the majestic one-horned rhinoceros. Return to the lodge for a sumptuous breakfast before immersing yourself in the enchanting world of orchids at Kaziranga National Orchid Biodiversity Park. After lunch, embark on a thrilling jeep safari, uncovering the hidden treasures of the park's western and central ranges. Spend the evening at leisure, relishing the serenity of your surroundings.
Next day again explore other range and if you are lucky you may also spot Hoolock Gibbons.

Day 7  : Discovering Guwahati: Temples, Crafts, and Culture

Embark on a scenic drive to Guwahati, the bustling capital of Assam, where ancient temples and vibrant markets beckon. Visit the revered Kamakhya Temple and Umananda Temple, steeped in myth and mystique. Explore the local crafts center, admiring the intricate handiwork of skilled artisans, before delving into the bustling markets, brimming with treasures waiting to be discovered. Evening complimenatry High Tea at GTAC Lounge , one of the few iconic tea lounges of India.  Sail on Dinner cruise / Sundowner Cruise and enjoy the sailing on might Brahmputra.

Day 8 : Farewell to Northeast India

As your Hornbill Festival Extravaganza comes to a close, savor a leisurely breakfast at the hotel before bidding adieu to the enchanting landscapes of Nagaland and Assam. Our representative will accompany you to Guwahati Airport, where you'll take flight with cherished memories of a journey filled with cultural immersion, natural wonders, and unforgettable experiences.

Exclusions

  • Airfare: International and domestic flight tickets are not included in the package, allowing you the flexibility to choose your preferred airlines and travel dates.
  • Personal Expenses: Expenses such as additional meals, beverages, shopping, and optional activities not mentioned in the itinerary are at your own discretion.
  • Travel Insurance: It is recommended to purchase travel insurance independently to cover unforeseen circumstances such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or loss of personal belongings.
  • Entry Fees: Entrance fees to monuments, museums, and other attractions not specified in the itinerary are excluded. However, guidance will be provided for optional visits based on your interests.
  • Gratuities: Tips for drivers, guides, and hotel staff are not included and are entirely voluntary. If you feel satisfied with the service provided, you may offer gratuities as a token of appreciation.
  • Any Additional Expenses: Any other expenses not mentioned explicitly in the inclusions section will be your responsibility. It's advisable to carry extra cash for miscellaneous expenses during the tour.

Pricing & Payment Terms

  • Cost: INR 99,999 /- per person onwards (customizable)
  • Deposit: 50%  at  the time of booking
  • Balance:  50 % due 60 days before tour

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • 60+ days: 25% of the total package cost  (non - refundable)
  • 31-59 days: 50% of the total package cost (cancellation fee)
  • <30 days: No refund
  • Optional Cancellation Protection: Rs 5,000 per person for no questions asked 75% refund up ( cancellation before 48 hours )
  • Note :Travelers must share email and state the reason for cancellation at least 48 hours in advance.
