ABOUT HORNBILL
- Hornbill Festival is a 10 day revelry of Tribal Dance & Culture held every year from Dec 01 to Dec 10. It was started in year 2000 for cross-tribal co-operation and camaredrie. Its falnked by thousands of tourists and photographers from all over the world. The tribal attire and gear in bright colour are pleasure for shutter bugs. It is flanked by High Commissioners and Ambassadors of various countires . Many National and International Music Bands show case their enthralling perforamnce. The sheer Grandeur and revelry of the festival rivals with Tomatino Festival of Spain. Due to limited availabilty of accomodation it is recommended to do bookings atleast 6 months in advance.
How to Reach Hornbill
- A number of taxis ply from Dimapur to Kohima. Night buses connect Dimapur and Kohima to Guwahati and Shillong (Meghalaya). A very convenient way for reaching Kohima is to take the train or flight to Dimapur and then a taxi to Kohima. The Dimapur taxi stand is adjacent to the Railway Station.
When is the Best Time to Visit Hornbill
- Hornbill festival takes place during the winter season in Nagaland. Winter chill sets in at Kohima, the capital town, during the festival. Dimapur has pleasant weather. During winters, warm, comfortable, easy to launder clothing is recommended. Hornbill festival is held from 1st December to 10th December. The festival derives its name from the bird named Hornbill. It is called the festival of festivals.

- Travel Insurance: It is recommended to purchase travel insurance independently to cover unforeseen circumstances such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or loss of personal belongings.
- Entry Fees: Entrance fees to monuments, museums, and other attractions not specified in the itinerary are excluded. However, guidance will be provided for optional visits based on your interests.
- Gratuities: Tips for drivers, guides, and hotel staff are not included and are entirely voluntary. If you feel satisfied with the service provided, you may offer gratuities as a token of appreciation.
- Any Additional Expenses: Any other expenses not mentioned explicitly in the inclusions section will be your responsibility. It's advisable to carry extra cash for miscellaneous expenses during the tour.

- Deposit: 50% at the time of booking
- Balance: 50 % due 60 days before tour
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- 60+ days: 25% of the total package cost (non - refundable)
- 31-59 days: 50% of the total package cost (cancellation fee)
- <30 days: No refund
- Optional Cancellation Protection: Rs 5,000 per person for no questions asked 75% refund up ( cancellation before 48 hours )
- Note :Travelers must share email and state the reason for cancellation at least 48 hours in advance.
